Salary:

$3,392.67 - $6,300.67 per month commensurate with experience.



Job Description Summary:

The Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) Coordinator, under supervision by the Director of Procurement and Business Services, shall be responsible for duties related to the HUB program.

Responsibilities:

- Develops and implements HUB program activities to include outreach efforts. 

- Coordinate programs for the recruitment and retention of historically underutilized businesses.

- Reviews solicitations, contracts and purchase orders to ensure compliance with applicable HUB rules and regulations.
- Assists with the development of HUB plans and goals. 
- Participates in review, formulation, updating and interpretation of HUB related System policy, regulation, rules and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable State statutes. 

- Prepare and submit/distribute required reports to comply with state statute, System policy and regulation.
- Identification of vendors who may qualify for HUB certification and assist them as needed to obtain their certification.

- Assist HUB vendors with the procurement process so they understand how to do business with the A&M System. 

- Work with departments so they are aware of HUB vendors that match their needs.
- Assists with the Mentor/Protégé program to assure existing agreements are meeting their objectives and examination of potential vendor participation for additional agreements.
- Facilitate events with general contractors and potential HUB subcontractors for upcoming construction projects. 

- Organize events including but not limited to vendor fairs and product shows to demonstrate the benefit of using HUB vendors for procurement, as well as expanding the faculty and staff product knowledge.
- Monitors performance on contracts and construction projects with HUB requirements through review of the PARs submitted by the vendor/contractor.

- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years of related experience.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Some travel required.

- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
