Works with departmental leadership in the planning, implementing, and coordinating of human resources activities for the College of Business Office of Human Resources. Supports the Office of Human Resources and team members with various administrative, financial, and HR recruiting and event functions.

  • Acts as a primary resource for inquiries related to faculty searches, temporary and student employment recruitment, contracts, and general HR matters. Manages incoming queries, assesses the optimal approach for resolution, and ensures prompt responses. Refers complex issues to the relevant HR colleague when needed.
  • Coordinates with departmental leadership in identifying, developing, and planning HR-related programs and events such as lunch and learn workshops, trainings, employee recognition events, new faculty orientation, and other employee-focused college events.
  • Provides support in processing contracts and responding to employee inquiries. Cross-trained to serve as back-up for processing contracts and responding to contract-related inquiries, and for college administrative and staff recruitment efforts.
  • Provides support in the recruitment process for the College of Business Faculty Search and Screen processes as well as, temporary and student assistant positions. Utilizes applicant-tracking system to document process and distribute documentation upon request. Acts as the liaison between College hiring officials and university recruiters during the recruitment life cycle and provides support during the interview process, pre-employment, and pre-onboarding stage, and performs other recruitment functions as necessary.  Manages the paperwork associated with the recruitment and hiring of new temporary and student employees.
  • Performs audits to ensure Panthersoft and internal system data integrity. Maintains current information in the faculty/staff directory. Conducts ad-hoc audits as assigned.
  • Coordinates the Faculty Search & Screen processes within the College. Maintains all search and screen process records as they occur. Manages public record notices for all search processes. Maintains search information in the HR Panthersoft System for all faculty, student, and temporary positions.
  • Reviews valid and legible work authorization documents submitted in the I- 9/E-Verify system to coordinate scheduling Student, FWS, and Temporary candidates for I-9 verification and E-Verify or sending to HR Service Center as applicable. Provides support with immigration visas for college faculty.
  • Provides support in back-office personnel activities, including preparing Electronic Personnel Requisition Forms (ePRFs) and Electronic Personnel Action Forms (ePAFs) for various HR personnel actions. Maintains and follows up on personnel action forms. Reviews for accuracy and completeness before routing to the appropriate approver(s).
  • Provides administrative support to departmental leadership in ad-hoc projects and/or special assignments.
  • Interprets administrative policies for recommending new and improved programs to effectively manage human resources and administration for the College and implement best human resources practices. Provides direct confidential assistance to departmental leadership on highly sensitive administrative matters.
  • Bachelor's degree and two years of administrative experience to include Human Resources experience.
  • Previous experience in coordinating HR-related workshops and events.
