Provides support to the Biscayne Bay Campus Human Resource (BBC-HR) office in the day to day administrative operations and recruitment functions which includes assisting or directing guests and callers on general HR related inquiries.

  • Serves as the first point of contact for visitors. Provides assistance and general information to the various university constituents as it relates to all the services, programs and initiatives facilitated by the Division of Human Resources. Answers and routes all incoming calls with the highest level of customer service. Receives and distributes all incoming and outgoing mail and maintains office supplies.
  • Assists in the recruitment efforts for positions, providing support in processes for the successful hiring and onboarding of regular, temporary and student employees. Creates and updates job openings, manages applicant pools, maintains open and fluid communication with hiring managers, facilitates pre-employment processes and extends official offers of employment.
  • Provides assistance and information to the University community regarding time and labor/leave entry and approval processes and other administrative payroll functions.
  • Maintains accurate weekly activity report of telephone calls and visitors. Prepares monthly reports to the Associate Vice President. Identifies any pending or unresolved issues that may need to be escalated to HR Leadership.
  • Performs other related duties as required or directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
  • Works with Employee Records to efficiently process new hire paperwork.
  • Creates and updates candidate information. Works closely with the corresponding department to ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) & Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) regulations. Closes out job openings upon candidate hire.
  • Coordinates the day-to-day operations of the BBC-HR office by expediting daily workflow and information using initiative and judgment on matters requiring immediate attention and/or delegate to proper authority or handle personally.
  • Represents the Division of Human Resources at meetings and events. Develops and maintains professional relationships with administrators, faculty, staff, students, applicants, and other members of the community.
