Essential Job Duties
The HR Program Coordinator is a valuable member of the Human Resources team. In this role you will manage the operational aspects of employee engagement, professional development, and orientation programs. Your primary focus in this position is to increase employee retention efforts and enhance the workplace culture.As the HR Program Coordinator you will serve as a pivotal link and partner with department managers and leadership, lead the PACE program, manage employee engagement interviews, and provide training programs.  
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to : 
  • Lead and management CEHR programs by collaborating on the business needs of the department and division, and aligning initiatives with institutional and division goals.
  • Conduct employee interviews and compile reports.
  • Develop and deliver training programs based on department needs.
  • Analyze program outcomes to enhance employee retention and culture.
  • Advise on workplace dynamics and compliance.
  • Use data analysis for decision-making and improvement.
  • Communicate policies and procedures effectively.
  • Educate employees on division culture and values.
  • Collaborate with supervisors for career growth opportunities.
  • Obtain feedback from employees and supervisors on workplace culture, employee engagement, and staff development opportunities within the division.
  • Supervise part-time student employees in HR.

This role demands a high level of professional knowledge to effectively execute program administration, provide consultation based on information analysis and ability to make recommendations and decisions, and excel in communication and marketing. Other Responsibilities
  • Model the Division’s mission and values, introduce the Division’s mission and values to employees, and foster a positive, cohesive workplace and congeniality among co-workers.
  • Understand the goals and culture of the organization, and understand how employees’ work activities, teamwork, and customer service impact clients. Work with your supervisor and colleagues to understand these goals and the culture.
  • Adhere to all University policies, procedures, and regulations, and Division standard operating practices and protocols.
  • May serve on division or university committees, including search committees.
  • Assist with various HR related projects/assignments/tasks. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure Human Resources business needs are met.


Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Other Required Qualifications
  • Functional knowledge of Federal and State Human Resources employment laws and best practices in human resources procedures and methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to build professional relationships and be a member of a productive team. Provide guidance to campus partners to achieve goals and accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally, courteously and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including students, staff, leadership and campus partners.
  • Superior organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously along with exceptional judgement and discretion.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated integrity, ethics, and commitment to healthy work place culture.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software or Google platform. Prefer experience with Microsoft Visio.
  • HRIS and/or training systems experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SHRM, HRCI, or related HR Certification(s)
  • Human Resources experience, with preference given to candidates with training and professional development experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Project management experience
  • Able to collect relevant data, analyze it for trends and to make decisions.
  • Experience working within the University of North Carolina system or higher education.
