Position Overview
This position will be responsible for providing support, coordination and oversight to the Human Resources front office and operational functions. The role ensures and maintains stewardship of the university and its resources by adhering to ethical standards of professional conduct. This position will include responsibilities of supervision of other employees, volunteers and/or students while acting in a manner consistent with the University’s core mission and values of learning, community, responsibility, integrity and quality.
Duties may include:
  • Maintain I-9 compliance
  • Apply all university and department policies, procedures and legal requirements
  • Maintain file security and hazard protection
  • Process public record requests
  • Optimize client and program satisfaction through teamwork and commitment to customer service
  • Provide support to the HR operating functions as a whole
  • Supervision of other front office employees, volunteers, and/or students
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications


Required Experience
  • Two years of customer service experience
  • Two years performing administrative or office support experience
  • Interpreting, applying and explaining information such as regulations, policies or services
  • Independently solving problems/performing liaison activities in a high-volume work setting
  • Reviewing documents for compliance with established procedures
  • Handling confidential materials with discretion
Required Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Required Other
  • None
Additional Preferred
  • Experience with employment eligibility verification procedures, including the I9 and E-verify system
  • Supervisory experience
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working in a higher education environment
  • Experience working with Human Resources issues and programs
  • Knowledge of employee records compliance with federal and state law, and University policy
  • Experience/knowledge of record security measures and procedures
  • Experience with Banner
