HR Coordinator (Onboarding Navigator)

Job Summary: 

Under general supervision, responsible for assisting with organizing, coordinating and executing human resource department projects and processes.  Also responsible for coordinating new hire onboarding process and ensuring compliance with policy and laws.

Strongly prefer previous hospital experience.

 Work Schedule:  Hybrid

Job Duties:

  • Assist the HR team with Employee Engagement activities and HR projects.
  • Completes transactional activities in human capital management (HCM) software such as the creation of and updating of existing employee and person of interest records.
  • Performs routine filing, scanning, and archiving of records to ensure record retention compliance.
  • Coordinates various new hire processes such as E-Verify, I-9 compliance, and onboarding.
  • Creates and updates requisitions in the applicant tracking system (ATS) to initiate the recruitment process.
  • Creates and updates requisitions with temporary agency to fill temporary staffing needs.
  • Submits new-employee background checks and complete employment references.
  • Manage unemployment claim process by collecting and providing relevant information and communicating with various partners.
  • Serve as the escalation point on new hire’s progression through the onboarding process
  • Coordinates New hire orientation dates.
  • Additional duties as organizational needs arise. 
  • Review onboarding tasks to ensure required paperwork is completed by specified deadlines
  • Detail all new hires’ initial tasks and answer any questions
  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding process
  • Troubleshoot and provide guidance to new hires to ensure efficient processing and a positive new hire experience
  • Conduct follow-up on missing tasks/paperwork
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

    Education: 

    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related degree is required.

     

    Experience: 

    Two (2) years of related experience is required.

     

    Preferred:

    Onboarding experience in a hospital setting.

     

    Additional Licenses and Certifications: 

    PHR or SHRM-CP is preferred.
