As a member of the Office of Human Resources Compliance team, the HR Compliance Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative assistance and coordination in support of the University’s HR compliance program and other assigned functional areas of the HR Department when needed. Reporting to the Manager, Policy and Compliance, you will primarily be responsible for providing administrative support and coordination to the compliance function such as; record keeping, reporting, and file maintenance while helping to ensure affirmative action and employment law compliance; facilitation of child protection clearances (Act 153 and Fingerprinting); and flexible work coordination and administration.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support and coordination to support processes and tasks related to the university Affirmative Action Program and diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging initiatives:
    • Ensure the latest version of required state and federal labor law posters are displayed in prominent locations on campus;
    • Assist with maintenance required reporting including Affirmative Action Reports, Community Impact Report and Veterans Reporting information as required;
    • Gather and assist with the assembly of Affirmative Action Reports for the annual Affirmative Action Plans and a six-month review of plans;
    • Gather and assist with the assembly of information to support the university’s Annual Self-Identification and Update Personal Information surveys;
    • Gather and assist with university’s mandatory EEO notifications;
    • Gather and submit all federal, state and other EEO forms, certifications, and reports;
    • Monitor and maintain compliance activities such as job postings, Department of Labor posting updates, and the HR compliance calendar.
  • Assisting, as a liaison, with HR Strategic Programs and Services to facilitate child protection clearances for employment and campus programs, and drug screening for employment.
  • Administer flexible work program, requests, and processing.
  • Participation in audits of HR employment processes on an as needed basis.
  • Participates in HR project work as assigned by manager.
  • Other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, law, business administration, communications, psychology, or another related field preferred.

Experience: One (1) to Three (3) years of related experience required.

  • Previous paralegal or human resources experience preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requirement.

  • Work Posture: This position is operating on a hybrid schedule, with an on-campus/in office presence of 3 days a week
