Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a HR Business Systems Analyst for the department of University Human Resources. The HR Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for the data analytics, data integrity, system integration support, and system testing within the PeopleSoft human capital management system.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
  • Responsible for maintaining employee personal and professional data in alignment with various union negotiated agreements, university policies and practices, as well as federal & state regulations.
  • Partners with all UHR functional areas, Payroll Services, and Office of Information Technology to meet day-to-day operational requirements.
  • Builds standard query reports to support day-to-day business requirements.   
  • Gathers reporting requirements and generate queries per requested deadlines. 
  • Prepares data files that aid in updating mass employment records for purposes of job-related changes and fiscal / year-end re-evaluation processes.  
  • Prepares comparison reports to evaluate trends in the data.
  • Updates employee life cycle changes within PeopleSoft in accordance to negotiated contracts, policies, and federal/state regulations.  
  • Responsible for auditing data between multiple data sets to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data.  
  • Assists with analyzing the system integrations for absence management, benefits administration, job requisitions, I9, etc. 
  • Under the direction of HRIS leadership, reviews and updates the system interface mapping documents, data values, and data alignment to ensure the synchronization of data between systems.  
  • Assists in identifying process improvements between systems to streamline workload.  
  • Assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing technology issues and provides strategic technical solutions. 
  • Tests system functionality changes in multiple test environments and provide subject matter expertise to move the changes to the production system. 
  • Assists with documenting the implementation of functional enhancements.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience using PeopleSoft.
Certifications/Licenses
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years using PeopleSoft.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Proficient with Excel.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects occurring on tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
