Position Description
Advertised Job Summary | The Human Resources (HR) Administrative Specialist provides professional-level HR service and administrative support to the College of Information and Communications. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, scheduling meetings, arranging travel, handling correspondences, maintaining filing systems, assisting with event planning and execution, adjunct, temporary and student hires, job postings, hiring proposals, personnel actions, administrative tracking for personnel files and other legally mandated requirements, and serving as a resource for adjunct, temporary and student HR questions. |

Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree and 1 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience. |
Preferred Qualifications | Experience with higher education human resources and/or payroll. Knowledge and familiarity with higher education support services. |
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities | Excellent customer service, human resource, business operation and data management skills, especially the ability to work with other office members to accomplish complex tasks. Excellent verbal and written communication, program coordination, and organizational/planning skills. Ability to provide accurate work products with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. Knowledge of general office practices/procedures and computing hardware/software resources. Ability to maintain confidentiality. |
