House Manager/Event Coord (Administrative Assistant), Minimum Salary $28,215 per year, UofSC Aiken Etherredge Center
The House Manager/Event Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and management of events in the Etherredge Center spaces. This encompasses front of house management, including the solicitation and oversight of student/volunteer house managers, student/volunteer ushers, and student/volunteer concession management. The Event Coordinator/House Manager will also serve as the facilities liaison for events that take place within the Etherredge Center. The Event Coordinator/House Manager will coordinate marketing information for the Etherredge Center.
 
Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or high school diploma and 4 years work experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or equivalency.  A Bachelor’s degree in theatre, arts administration, fine or performing arts, or non-profit administration is preferred.  Experience with students/volunteers and practical knowledge of theatre environment is essential. Requires excellent interpersonal skills, even temperament, and the ability to supervise individuals effectively; strong organizational and management skills; and strong written and oral communication skills. Must be able to work hours based on operation of Etherredge Center Performance Schedule (flex schedule); First Aid training and CPR also preferred. Salary is non-negotiable. Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in theatre, arts administration, fine or performing arts, or non-profit administration preferred; First Aid training and CPR preferred.

Experience with students/volunteers and practical knowledge of theatre environment is essential; Excellent interpersonal skills, even temperament, ability to supervise effectively; Strong organizational and management skills; Strong written and oral communication skills; Must be able to work varied hours and split shifts; First Aid training and CPR; Have the ability to handle fast paced environment with many disruptions; Be able to maintain a professional image; Create an efficient organization process to accomplish the many facets of FOH; Be able to build strong relationships to provide a harmonious environment; Be responsive and considerate of the customer’s needs; Maintain a high standard for FOH staff/students/ volunteers as ambassadors for the university.
