Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
This student will primarily assist Dr. Nicholas Finio in conducting quantitative research on gentrification and displacement in the field of urban studies. Skills and a demonstrated track record of experience in manipulating large datasets using R or python are required. Skills manipulating geospatial datasets are a plus but not required. Knowledge of the subject of gentrification is not required but an understanding of broad social science research methods and econometrics is required. Students from sociology, geography, economics, public policy, urban and regional planning, and other related fields are encouraged to apply. Hourly pay rates range from $29.02 per hour to $34.41 per hour depending on experience. This position will pay for up to 10 hours per week for the fall semester, with potential for a second semester in the spring. Please send a cover note (email is fine) and CV to [email protected] .
