Position Summary
This position serves as first point of contact for lifelong learning students and instructors, coordinating and managing the implementation of lifelong learning programming, to include procurement of instructional supplies and vendor services.  
Description of Duties
Brochure Production
  • Manage mail lists for both constant contact emails and brochure mailing.
  • Coordinate with College Relations to update BCC lifelong learning website page.
  • Active role in proof reading and organization of seasonal lifelong learning brochure content.
  • Work with operations team in securing appropriate classroom space for programs. 

 
Program Coordination
  •  Work directly with LL instructors to update and schedule repeat programs. 
  • Work with venues, restaurants, bus companies to develop trip itineraries. 
  • Build relationships with instructors ensuring all technology, classroom space, rosters, and instructional needs are provided. 
  • Outreach, scheduling, and promotion of off-site lifelong learning offerings at adult communities. 
  • Monitor process for CPS new instructors and student evaluations. 
  • Oversee input of class information for registration system and reconcile with brochure content.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired. 

Experience:
  • Two years of related experience. Administrative experience and/or experience in an educational or community-based environment preferred. 

Knowledge Abilities/Skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with colleagues, students, instructors, and vendors.
  • Strong proof-reading, writing and oral communication skills. 
  • Ability to collaborate and use creative, solution-oriented approach to address problems through teamwork.
  •  Ability to work well with a diverse student population.
  • Proven computer literacy with ability to utilize Microsoft Office word processing and spreadsheet applications at an intermediate level and the ability to learn and utilize specific higher education programs and systems.
  • Ability to learn detailed knowledge and apply office practices, procedures, policies, and Federal and State regulations essential to the position.
Preferred Qualifications & Special Considerations
Knowledge of Monmouth County and its communities.
