Position: Hotel Accommodations Specialist/Help Desk

Location: Athens Campus

Department: Athens Technical College’s Institute for Online Training and Instructional Systems (IOTIS)

Reports to: IOTIS Project Director

Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. State of Georgia benefits package.

Responsibilities:

  • Use the IOTIS learning management system to identify hotel accommodation needs for Georgia Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) trainees who are traveling for classroom training.
  • Secure hotel reservations.
  • Communicate information pertaining to reservations to trainees and supervisors.
  • Make changes to existing reservations as needed.
  • Provide technical support and relay field concerns/complaints pertaining to hotel stays.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining relationships with partnership hotels for reoccurring overnight accommodations across the state.
  • Reconcile invoices and provide reports as requested by DFCS.
  • Perform a variety of administrative and technical support functions that support web-based instruction such as creating user accounts and answering help desk questions by phone, LiveChat and email.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree.
  • Proficiency with Excel.
  • Strong computer/technical, customer service, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet established deadlines while managing multiple priorities.

Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Work experience in the hospitality/customer service field.
  • DFCS work experience.
  • Exceptional documentation skills and the ability to create, manipulate, and proofread complex spreadsheets.

**IOTIS is contract funded by the Georgia Department of Human Services with potential for renewal. **
