Three shifts available to choose from:
          7am to 3pm
         3pm to 11pm
         11pm to 7am 
Hours: 40 hours per week

Work Location:  University Hospital

Salary Range:  $13.00 - $15.58
           
Job Summary: 
 

To enforce the security policies and procedures of the University of Missouri Health Care and enforce traffic and parking regulations at the facility, its parking garage, lots, and ground while on duty.


 
Detailed Description:


Patrol designated area in the Hospital. Investigate complaints, disturbances, and thefts.

Write a concise and factual report on each incident that occurred during a shift.


Quiet disruptive persons in order to reestablish an orderly civil environment.


Write parking tickets for illegally parked vehicles.


Operate two-way communication system to send receive messages following appropriate radio protocol.


Record all activities occurring on the assigned shift in the daily log book accurately.


Escort incarcerated patients and/or assist law enforcement personnel to various hospital areas in order to monitor compliance to hospital policy.


Provide outside law enforcement personnel with information and assistance with investigations occurring in the hospital by following established protocol. 


 

Qualifications

 

 High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.



Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

Successful completion of initial training within sixty days of hire date. 


Complete other training as assigned by Security Manager.


 

Preferred Qualifications:


Previous security experience. Ability to lift/move/carry objects or persons. Ability to restrain patients/visitors. May require ability to go through narrow spaces and climb ladders. Should be willing/able to become a notary public.
