Join our team as a Laboratory Technician 2 at the BURL Outreach Clinical Laboratory in Panorama City, where you’ll play a pivotal role in our operations. Responsibilities include: • Preparing specimens for analysis  • Assisting in coordination of couriers and routes, including follow-ups on service delays • Performing phlebotomy on patients of all ages • Triage of all lab samples and requests after verifying appropriate information • Entering and verifying patient and test information into the computer • Generating computer labels for specimens and delivering them to appropriate areas • Preparing samples for transport to referral labs or storage • Documenting draws, added tests, and cancelled/rejected specimens Salary Range: $31.82 – $41.96/hour

  JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  

• Current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification. • High school diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED or HiSET). • Minimum of 2 years of licensed phlebotomy experience in a high-volume testing laboratory • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills • Proficiency in performing related computer procedures (LIS, HIS) • Knowledgeable in quality assurance practices, preferred
