Harborview's Operating Room has an outstanding opportunity for a Regular 100% FTE, Variable Shift, HOSPITAL ASSISTANT/CNA position. The individual in this position will assist the medical and nursing staff by performing delegated tasks that involve direct patient care; transportation of patients, supplies and specimens; ordering and stocking of supplies; and maintenance/set up of special equipment. Additionally, the person in this role will participate in unit and selected departmental activities to promote effective problem solving and communication. This position provides opportunities to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment.   

REQUIREMENTS:
• High School graduation AND six months experience involving customer service in a health care setting OR six months experience involving direct patient care OR equivalent education/experience
• Must have a current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) with WA State (please indicate your licensure information)

LEGAL REQUIREMENT:
Nursing Assistant-Certified (NAC) with the State of Washington

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Valid AHA BLS/CPR Card 

DESIRED:
• Previous experience working in a medical center or hospital
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team
• Knowledge of medical terminology
