The duration of this assignment is expected to last 3 months.
The Hospital Assistant III, under the supervision of the Medical Assistant Supervisor, guided by the policies and procedures of the Center for Reproductive Health and Ambulatory Services, and in collaboration with the physician staff, has the clinical responsibility for developing and maintaining a high standard of patient care. S/he will perform clinical duties and coordination specific to unassisted and assisted reproductive techniques as well as Andrology and gynecological treatment. Primary responsibility is to perform assigned patient care and laboratory procedures in support of the primary and specialty care services provided to patients within the practice. The HAIII is responsible for maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff, and for daily operations. All components of care will be individualized to meet the patient’s physiological and psychosocial development level and needs. The HAIII consistently projects a professional and courteous demeanor and shall comply with the Medical Center House and Telephone Standards

Department Description
UCSF's Temporary Employment Program (TEP) recruits and hires temporary employees for immediate clerical and technical support services to UCSF Departments and various off-campus locations. UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
- Current American Heart Association CPR Certification.
- 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant/Hospital Assistant in a medical practice
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent communication and patient service skills
- Previous Fertility experience
- Previous APEX and IDEAS experience
License/Certification
- Current American Heart Association CPR Certification
