Job Description Summary:
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center has a faculty position for an established investigator with a track record of NIH or NCI grant funding to collaborate with Basic Science and Clinical Faculty in the Department.
Job Description:
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: PhD or MD or MD/PhD
  • Work Experience: Demonstrable research experience and track record of success in extramural funding
  • Skills: Research focused on Hematopoiesis and Hematologic Malignancies


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational and project management and leadership skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively with people from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds.


Job Duties Outlined:

  • Establish and maintain an independent and/or a collaborative extramurally funded research program

  • Engage in multi-investigator research efforts with faculty in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, the University of Kansas Cancer Center, or other departments

  • Contribute to graduate education in the Department and School of Medicine
