Position Summary:

The International Transfer Coordinator is responsible for reviewing documentation, determining validity of documentation, deciding which courses will transfer, and performing GPA calculation for international students


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Determine if institution is considered post-secondary
  • Review documentation, determine validity of documentation and decide which courses will transfer
  • Work with chairs, deans and students on transfer work equivalency this includes obtaining syllabi as needed
  • Enter transfer work course by course into database
  • Process course repeats
  • Perform transfer GPA calculations for individual schools and overall
  • Perform grade and credit conversion (i.e. ETS to credit hours)
  • Communicate transcript evaluation results to students
  • Work with Study Abroad Program to provide transfer application guidance
  • Download transfer evaluations received from professional evaluators
  • Backup domestic transfer processing area
  • Notify Registrar of any general educations substitution recommendations
  • Maintain updated procedures manual
  • Other duties as assigned


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of the principles and practices of mathematics and statistics
Knowledge of research and analysis techniques and methods
Knowledge of work-related subject area
Knowledge of computers and software applications
Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written information and reports
Ability to research and analyze related work program information
Ability to develop, recommend, interpret, and apply policies and procedures
Ability to analyze financial records and prepare reports
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others


General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed.
Regular and reliable attendance

Minimum Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of a High School Diploma
One (1) year of specialized training in business management, business education, or a related field
Two (2) years of experience in a specialized or a related field applicable to work performed
Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or parts of these basic requirements upon approval of the qualifications review committee
