Job Summary:

This position will provide a wide variety of program support to the Soil and Forage Analysis Laboratory at WSLH. Primary responsibilities include entering and verifying sample information in the lab system, supply ordering, test result reporting and distribution, and answering or routing customer inquiries. Another responsibility will be to contribute to the organization and preparation of soil and forage samples prior to analysis.


Responsibilities:
Works with environmental scientists and others to identify, assess, treat, and correct environmental problems.
  • 10% May collect, document, and transport environmental samples
  • 5% May verify code and regulatory compliance using knowledge of local, state, and federal rules and regulations related to public health
  • 10% May investigate complaints as directed
  • 40% Keeps detailed records and assesses test data to maintain highest quality of service and performance
  • 10% Communicates results, feedback, or suggestions; and discusses trends, procedural questions, and concerns
  • 5% Reads and interprets test results
  • 10% Accepts and records payment for services using lab information system, credit card machine.
  • 10% Responds to inquiries from the public regarding testing services.
