Job Summary Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) seeks a Health Educator and Prevention Coordinator who will work under the direction of the Executive Director of Integrated Health and Wellness. This position advocates for and leads efforts to develop health practices that promote personal development and student success, as well as evaluates, documents and communicates campus health needs using a public health/health promotion orientation. The Health Educator and Prevention Coordinator engages students, campus leadership and partners in developing a common vision that supports the holistic vision for an integrated model of health and wellness and leverages systems to foster a shared culture of student wellbeing. The selected candidate will use data to develop strategies that expand protective factors in support of mental, physical and relational wellbeing, and reduce personal and community health risk factors while maintaining alignment with institutional values. The Health Educator and Prevention Coordinator nurtures a culture of wellbeing in all aspects of student life, responding to the diverse and changing needs of the student body while demonstrating cultural competence and a commitment to equity, inclusion and to identifying and removing barriers to access.
