Health Education Specialist
· Are you passionate about faculty and staff well-being and have experience in health education or promotion?
· Do you enjoy building relationships with students, faculty and staff and collaborating across campus to create impactful programming, workshops and training?
The Health Education Specialist for Employee Well-Being develops, implements, and evaluates comprehensive programs, including challenges and presentations, to support overall faculty and staff well-being. Under the supervision of the Director of Employee Well-Being, the Health Education specialist is responsible for providing health screening and wellness coaching appointments to faculty and staff as well as overseeing the coordination of the Wellness Ambassador program.
Day to day will look like…
· Planning, implementation, communications and marketing of health education and promotion programs for faculty and staff
· Health screenings and wellness coaching
· Presentations and assessment of wellness programming
· Management and growth of Wellness Ambassador initiative

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in health promotion/education, public health, social work, or related field and a minimum of 3 years experience in employee well-being programming. Certified Wellness Coach or ability to become certified.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree is preferred. Training and/or experience in health education and promotion, grant writing experience, and experience in leading activities within a Healthy Campus Initiative preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of basic principles, practices, and theories affecting health and wellness. Ability to establish effective working relationships and maintain positive public relations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Duty
Health Education:
- Planning and implementation of comprehensive health education and promotion program to a diverse faculty/staff population on topics to cover the dimensions of wellness identified as Student Health and Well-Being unit priorities.
- Facilitate worksite health screening and wellness coaching appointments for faculty and staff and assist with reporting metrics for services
- Develop, coordinate, and evaluate overall well-being presentations for faculty and staff on campus
- Conduct evaluation of effectiveness of programming using outcomes-based assessments.
