Health Education Coordinator - Wellness Center (Job ID #147864)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for coordinating health education, health promotion and food insecurity programs, resources, services, and large campus events. Duties include researching, designing, implementing, and evaluating health and wellness programs that focus on awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and student learning and managing student food pantry.

Responsible for offering a wide range of health and wellness topics such as: safe sex, responsible drinking, anti-violence, stress management, smoking cessation, nutrition, time management, study skills, life skills, healthy relationships, and other topics to be determined. 

Responsible for researching, designing, implementing, and evaluating, alcohol and other drugs programs, materials, workshops, and events that are research based with an emphasis on student learning. 

Conduct health and wellness presentations to students and staff, host educational tables, design educational materials, and develop workshops.

Represents the center in collaboration with student organizations and departments on programs and committees helping to develop and implement health, wellness, or student development programming.

Assist with the planning and implementation of research activities such as: needs assessments, survey administration, grant writing, completing IRB applications, data collection, data entry, data analysis, and report preparation.
