Description

 

The Lyda Hill Institute for Human Resilience is seeking a manager of technology integration for the Institute.  The position will provide technological expertise to support integration of technology throughout the LHIHR.  This will include both the clinical and research operations for the institute.   This position is also expected to assist the Institute faculty with the design and implementation of technology integration research and contribute to grant proposals.

Job Duties:

  • Lead the design and implementation of innovative information technology systems throughout the healing, research, and community training and empowerment divisions within the LHIHR to include:
    • Managing, hiring, and directing programmers
    • Managing and supporting technology-based programing and systems
    • Consulting on and developing systems for the integration of technology into therapeutic models of mental health care (e.g., telehealth, utilization of apps, web-based interventions, virtual reality, augmented reality, electronic medical records)
    • Managing the design of evidenced-based community support apps
    • Consulting and designing evidenced-based online innovative trainings
    • Overseeing, training, developing database management systems, data storage servers, encryption, technology related data collection
    • Contributing to grants and possibly serving as PI/Co-PI on research related to designing and implementing innovative technological resources, interventions, and data collection for behavioral health studies.
  • Provide intellectual expertise to the study and design of digital health interventions including: scholarly study of engagement with DHI’s, key components of DHI’s that promote resilience, and the intersection of DHI’s with standard of care for trauma focused psychotherapy.

Job Competencies: 

  • Strong applied software technology background. 
  • Knowledge in health services technologies particularly in clinical psychology with experience treating trauma. 
  • Ability to work in a team providing technological support.
  • Ability to integrate multiple points of view into a single, collaborative product.
  • Knowledge and experience in at least 1 multi-platform programming language.
  • Knowledge of standard database management systems (data definition and data management languages such as SQL).
  • Ability to develop requirements, design, develop, test, launch and support computer-based applications.
  • Knowledge and experience with at least 1 electronic medical records system.
  • Knowledge of web-based mental health applications.

This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

 

What We Offer:

Salary Range: Generally starting at $53,481 - $73,767 (this is a .75 FTE appointment)

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

Tentative Search Timeline:

  • The potential dates for interviews with the search committee and the appointing authority will be will the week of September 27th.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • PhD in Clinical Psychology
  • At least 5 years experience in digital mental health including technological requirements, design, development, testing, and launch.
  • Masters in Computer Science 

 

Physical Requirement:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk.  Employee is occasionally required to have long periods of sitting, moderate bending, and fine motor skills. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
