Position Description


Advertised Job Summary
The Head Women’s Soccer Coach is responsible for coaching and administration of the USCB soccer program to include the development, implementation, management and compliance of an NCAA intercollegiate soccer program. Responsibilities also include the recruitment of student-athletes, field management and fundraising to support athletic programs and facilities as well as other duties assigned by the Athletic Director.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is required. Three years minimum experience coaching or playing at a collegiate or semi-professional or professional soccer program.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree. Experience in NCAA DI or DII. Recruiting experience in NCAA DI or DII.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of sport rules and regulations as well as NCAA DII rules and regulations. Superior oral and written communication skills; effective organization and administrative skills; strong computer skills.

Responsible for recruiting, training, and instructing all aspects of a NCAA DII level Women’s Soccer program, including practice and play schedules as defined by NCAA rules.

Available on weekends and evenings in order to recruit student-athletes. Knowledge and understanding of all eligibility, recruiting, and compliance procedures of the NCAA, Peach Belt Conference, Department of Athletics policy manual and the University’s policies and procedures. Knowledge and understanding of all eligibility and recruiting requirements for NCAA, Peach Belt Conference, and USC Beaufort Admission standards. Maintains accountability for scholarship limits. Manages all recruiting efforts for the program and makes scholarship recommendations.

Field preparation and field maintenance, including game day and practice preparation: lining, edging, raking, and overseeing grass care coordination with field manager.

Manage the program within the approved annual budget, including uniforms, equipment, team travel, recruiting, competitive operations, and administrative costs. Schedule all contests and team travel in accordance with PBC and NCAA guidelines and within approved budgetary limits.

Oversee all aspects of academic enhancement and stay current on academic progress of soccer student-athletes. Assist with student housing and admission issues and coordination of efforts with on-campus student services.
