Friends University is seeking to fill the Head Coach for Powerlifting position in Wichita Kansas. This position will oversee all areas of the Friends University powerlifting program.  This includes budget management, personnel management, practice and competition planning, recruitment, and retention.  To support the Christian mission and values of Friends University and the NAIA Champions of Character.  Serve as Champions of Character Liaison and assist in other areas of the department as needed.

Skills & Requirements

Two years of coaching is preferred.  Experience with recruiting and eligibility processes preferred but not required. 

Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s preferred.  USA Powerlifting CC or SNC certification and NSCA-CSCS or CSCCa-SCCC certifications preferred.

Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required.  Must be able to multi-task and be a part of a fast-paced demanding environment. Ability to maintain confidential information, strong time management and leadership development skills. Must be able to work in a variety of weather and able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
