Job Overview

UC Clermont College is looking for a Head Coach Minor Sports Men’s Soccer. This position will report to Brian Sullivan and will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all other activities.

 

Responsible for all administrative, recruitment and organizational aspects of coaching, directly supervising all student-athletes playing his or her assigned position while operating within the guidelines of USCAA Division rules and regulations, the mission of the university and its philosophy of intercollegiate athletics. Assist in the establishment of effective media relations.


Essential Functions
  • Direct all administrative and organizational aspects under a specific program.  
  • Maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all University, USCAA and rules and regulations, policies and procedures paying special attention to recruiting, eligibility, admissions and financial aid.
  • Execute all coaching assignments and administrative responsibilities. 
  • Supervise assigned positional student-athletes in a coordinated and planned program of practices and competition, with a concern for the players’ health and welfare, physical and psychological preparation. 
  • Oversee and recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes to meet the university’s admission standards and enrollment goals. 
  • Uphold all university academic policies and counsel student-athletes relative to academic success, progress and eligibility. Foster and maintain positive student body and faculty relations with student-athletes. 
  • Participate in public and alumni relations and promotions activities and establish and maintaining positive relations with the media.  Engage and soliciting donors to meet the fundraising goals as established by the Director of Athletics. 
  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.). 
  • Perform other duties based on departmental needs.

Required Education

High School Diploma or GED


Required Experience

Three (3) years of coaching experience.


Additional Qualifications Considered

Bachelor’s degree.
