Job Duties


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Must adhere to training programs and schedule(s) as established by the Special Olympics/Sports Program Director
  • Ability to work directly with the athletes to further develop skills and an understanding of the rules, specific to the sport being coached
  • Ability to promote and display quality characteristics of sportsmanship
  • Required to attend all practice sessions
  • Required to provide positive feedback and/or instruction to the athletes during practices and competitions
  • Attend all games/competitions as scheduled
  • Assist in the recruitment of other sport volunteers
  • Assist and support other coaches and athletes throughout the course of each sports program
