Half Time Lecturer in EEOB
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology (EEOB) at Iowa State University (ISU) invites applications for a part-time lecturer.
This position will team teach half of Biological Evolution (Biology 315) and all of Evolutionary Genetics (Genetics 462).
Duties include delivering lectures, providing office hours, administering the online course management system (Canvas), and assigning grades.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree in evolutionary biology or related field.
PhD degree in evolutionary biology or related field. Previous experience teaching an upper-level evolutionary biology course.
Department/Program & College Description:
The Department of Ecology, Evolution, & Organismal Biology is a highly collaborative community of over 120 faculty, students, post-doctoral researchers, and staff conducting fundamental and use-inspired research in areas of biology ranging from the origin and evolution of populations and species, to ecological interactions among species, to the assembly and function of ecosystems. EEOB is jointly administered by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS). Our faculty participate actively in multiple interdepartmental graduate programs.
