Minimum Position Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in relevant area and two to five years of appropriate experience. Relevant experience may substitute for required education.

The department is especially interested in candidates with active listening, respect for confidentiality and professional boundaries, resilience, patience and humility, a non-judgmental approach, a genuine interest in others. Understanding and awareness of the needs of disadvantaged individuals and other persons who face barriers to employment (WIOA, TANF, SNAP, Youth). Limited travel throughout region and proof of valid driver’s license in good standing and automobile insurance is required.

This is a grant-funded position contingent upon funding availability.
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Some nights and weekend work for special events may be required.

Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Works closely with collaborative partners to recruit participants to
GROWWTH program.

Provides case management to assigned participants to ensure they are connected to resources to alleviate barriers to training and work. Interviews and assesses each participant to gather information on their needs and uses assessment tools as needed to match participant to eligible resources.

Ensures that all participant updates are recorded in the case management system on the same day in accordance with program regulations and procedures.

Monitors performance and progress to goals and shares with other staff connected to family.

Demonstrates self-management techniques to participants such as active listening, coping techniques, advocacy, and self-help strategies with a focus on helping residents to prepare for employment that leads to self-sufficiency
