Essential Job Duties
The mission of Wellness and Recreation is to inspire a culture of wellness by providing premier, innovative and inclusive programs, services and facilities that promote healthy, active lifestyles to enhance student success.
NC State Wellness and Recreation is seeking energetic employees to ensure the safety of users and participants by preventing and responding to emergencies in the Aquatic Center.
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Demonstrate, teach, and correct all class movements effectively
  • Provide appropriate scaling options to meet the needs and fitness level of all participants
  •  Motivate and educate participants by providing a fun, safe, and inclusive experience
  • Maintain knowledge of general fitness, wellness, anatomy, kinesiology and physiology as it relates to human movement and muscular conditioning
  • Assist in the upkeep of the studio cleanliness and sanitization of equipment
  • Understand and enforce Wellness and Recreation and area-specific policies and guidelines
  • Knowledge and implementation of emergency action plan
