Summary of Duties: Under general supervision, perform a variety of skilled gardening duties on WSU grounds to maintain safe, clean and attractive grounds on the Pullman Campus.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to do required work, and one year of experience or training involving grounds maintenance, gardening, plant care, cultivation and landscape installation.
One year experience plus knowledge of grounds maintenance procedures and techniques, plant material identification and cultural needs, and current horticultural practices.
Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license.
Must have, or be able to obtain within six (6) months of hire a current Public Pesticide Applicators license.
Ability to work a flexible schedule when necessary.
Ability to demonstrate and use a variety of hand and motorized tools such as; pruners, loppers, shovels, rakes, hoes, mowers, blowers, edgers, litter picker, chain saw, trimmers, string trimmers and sprayers.

Monthly Salary:
$3,220 to $3,883 | Range 34 (Steps E-M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 OR applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
