The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and creative Graphic Specialist to join our team. This individual will assist in the creation of visually appealing designs for digital and print materials under the guidance of senior design team members, and in alignment with university marketing and branding strategies. This is a full-time, on-site, administrative and professional staff position, reporting to the Director of Creative Strategy and Brand Management. The Graphic Specialist is eager to apply their skills and contribute to exciting projects and must be extremely detail-oriented. They will also routinely collaborate within a group of creative professionals in a team environment.

The Graphic Specialist demonstrates flexibility, innovation, and an interest in continued professional growth and learning. The high volume and broad scope of work associated with this position will also require a person who can focus on a specific creative endeavor while managing multiple projects.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • At least one year of work-related experience, preferably in an agency or in-house marketing department.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrate a creative mindset and a passion for graphic design.
  • Ability to work in a complex institutional environment that is fast-paced, deadline-driven and collaborative.
  • Strong ability to communicate and present designs effectively, as well as to welcome feedback and incorporate requested changes as projects evolve.
  • Computer skills on a Mac platform and familiarity with Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Understanding of design, layout and typography.
  • Ability to clearly communicate well with team members, clients and with outside vendors.
