About the Position


A Graphic Designer II, Content Marketing is an integral part of the Creative team responsible for the high-profile design and execution of visuals for Content Marketing initiatives, including YouTube videos, blog articles, and social and email assets. An individual collaborates closely with the Content Marketing team to develop engaging concepts across a variety of mediums, including video, digital, email, social media and web, that create powerful connections with clients, appropriately reflect the University’s brand and are compliant with guidelines and regulations. A Graphic Designer II, Content Marketing drives creative excellence across all brand presentations, websites, marketing activations and events.


What You’ll Do:


1. Collaborate with Creative partners on the Content Marketing team to develop clear and compelling concepts, based on a deep understanding of products, services and target audience(s), to drive toward successful achievement of business objectives; design and execute strong and compelling creative designs, driven by strategy, for various mediums, including video, digital, social media and web, as well as email communications. 

2. Manage multiple projects and adhere to established schedules, ensuring quality standards are met; adhere to production requirements while working with outside vendors; organize and maintain library of key art, logos and content updates. 

3. Storyboard projects, developing a graphic treatment using tools like Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, and collaborating with editing and approving final videos, images, graphics or other visual assets.  

4. Collaborate with the YouTube Strategist to select relevant and appropriate stock b-roll to include in videos using Pond5, Adobe Stock, Envato and other tools, ensuring that the visuals complement the video’s appeal and support the overall content narrative. 

5. Partner successfully with key stakeholders across multiple business lines to understand products and services and translate business objectives into effective and compelling creative design. 

6. Consistently apply and enforce brand and style guidelines; ensure compliance with all internal policies and federal/ state/local regulations regarding marketing materials. 

7. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:


• Bachelor’s degree in Design or in a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience where one (1) year of relevant experience can replace every one (1) year of post-secondary education 


• Three (3) years of professional experience as a designer preferably in an agency or in-house setting 

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:


• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills 

• Experience in selling creative to senior leaders and decision makers 

• Exceptional conceptual and strategic thinker 

• Exceptional design aesthetics with type, color and page layout design 

• Proven ability to build positive long-standing relationships with clients and creative peers 

• Business acumen. Someone who will quickly pick up on how our business works. 

• Must be motivated, flexible, detail-oriented, and collaborative with strong organizational skills 

• Exceptional understanding of the technical constraints of print and web (browsers & devices) 

• Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

• Experience in file preparation and procedures for print and digital 

• Solid understanding of UX and responsive design

Pay Range


The annual pay range for this position is $54,400 (minimum), $81,200 (midpoint), and $108,000 (maximum).*


*Typical hiring range is between the minimum and midpoint of the above pay range. Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location and budget.
