Normal Work Schedule: Flexible; Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm, up to 20 hours per week

Job Summary: The Graphic Designer supports the College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office Communications department. Develops, updates, revises, and designs marketing and promotional materials to include invites, social media graphics, and print materials.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Current University of Alabama undergraduate student with a minimum 2.25 cumulative GPA.


Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop). Knowledge of various social media channels. Creative mindset. Proficiency with basic office equipment, computers, and standard application software (Word Processing, Excel Spreadsheet, database, internet/email). Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop). Strong graphic design skills. Excellent organizational skills. Dependable and punctual. Ability to complete tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills. Ability to interact and communicate in a professional manner with UA staff, faculty, alumni, and students.


Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work 20 hours per week.


Enrollment Requirements: Applicants must meet enrollment requirements to be eligible for on-campus student employment. Applicants must be enrolled in a UA degree program and meet minimum credit hour requirements during the academic year: Undergraduate Students must be registered for at least 6 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; Graduate Students must be registered for at least 4.5 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; International Students must be registered full-time (Undergraduate = 12 credit hours, Graduate = 9 credit hours) during fall/spring semesters. Enrollment requirements must be maintained for the duration of on-campus employment. Individual hiring departments and programs may also have additional eligibility requirements for employment.
