Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field and two years of related work experience with a collegiate or professional athletics program in the capacity as a graphic designer.  Ability to travel and work hours on nights, weekends and holidays. Grade EG Salary Minimum $48,421

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a Division I college football program within the last 4 years.
  • Proficient in all Adobe Suite programs.
  • Portfolio/Work Sample: Applicants must include a link to their portfolio/work sample on their resume detailing samples of previous work. Please do not upload work samples as separate attachments; provide a link.
  • Ability and willingness to work extensive work schedule, which may include nights, weekends and game travel as requested.
  • Effective administrative and organizational skills and ability to prioritize time-sensitive tasks and projects according to deadlines.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • General knowledge of NCAA bylaws.
  • Photography experience.
Position Description

The Graphic Designer for Football Recruiting is responsible for determining the best ways to visually represent the football program's identity through media such as mail, digital media (e.g., social media), video, posters, in-house branding, and other forms of media.  This position involves collaborating with internal and external clients to develop high-level design concepts aimed at branding the football program. The Graphic Designer for Football Recruiting must understand the needs of prospects in an ever-evolving recruiting world.  Further, this position is responsible for managing communication with outside vendors (e.g., printers, suppliers) and overseeing interns/graduate assistants/student workers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design mailings and social media graphics for recruiting purposes that promote the Louisville Football Brand.
  • Design edits targeting prospective student athletes to enhance our recruiting efforts.
  • Explore new areas of opportunity and innovation to expand and enhance the Louisville Football brand.
  • Design posters, pictures, or any other media for marketing the football program.
  • Design book covers, envelopes, pamphlets, and any other forms of printable media for coaches, staff, players, and recruits.
  • Develop multiple types of digital media, including but not limited to: iPad applications, PowerPoints for all football staff.
  • Collaborate with current video staff to assist in the enhancement of their graphic packages for videos that are produced for players and recruits.
  • Manage multiple projects (recruiting or in-house) from concept to completion.
  • Lead design interns through the design process from concepts to completion.
  • Assist in general recruiting needs as needed during the year.
  • Photograph games, practices, camps, recruits, junior days or any other necessary events.
