Job Summary:

Join the Career Services Student Marketing team as a talented graphic designer. Working on a dynamic and unique team within the Career Services office, you will use your creative vision to bring innovative and bold ideas to life. You will work strategically with our Employer Relationships and Career Success teams to conceptualize and create printed and digital marketing materials that successfully promote Career Services events and opportunities to the student population.

Full Job Description:

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Help to develop and design brand identity systems and creative visions 

  • Work on marketing projects such as large-scale event promotions, collateral materials (posters and digital campus-wide assets), social media outputs, events, and more.

  • Adapt assets to create social media content to post on CSC Instagram and TikTok. 

  • Maintain a high-quality level of design and detail-oriented creative execution of all work.

  • Attend weekly creative meetings to check in on projects, share concepts and ideas, and stay collaborative within the team.

  • Work directly with other Career Services marketing team members and report to the Program Assistant.

  • Like all of our student employees, assist with general front desk and event operations as scheduled and utilize Handshake to help manage employer registrations, student appointments, and events as needed.

  • Occasionally assist with general functions of the larger Career Services Center office. 

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop 

  • Solid understanding of typography and layout. 

  • A strong sense of cultural trends and design

  • Comfort working within brand guidelines and templates to keep marketing cohesive, on-brand, and consistent.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as within a team, on larger projects

  • Strong collaborative and communicative skills and ability to take feedback and implement it into work

  • Capable of developing ideas, explaining concepts, and executing through design output

  • Strong social and communication skills, quick learner, and comfortable with a variety of organizational systems

  • Quick learner with the ability to grow as a creative with an open mind toward new concepts, ideas, and design theories

  • Comfortability with being behind and in front of the camera to assist in video productions (reels, TikToks) 

  • Ability to work at least 10 hours per week during the academic year. 

BONUS EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with Canva

  • Photography and/or Video experience (editing is a huge plus!) 

  • Copywriting and/or proofing experience

  • Knowledge of social media creative and trends

  • Familiar with collaboration tools like Slack and Trello
