As a Graphic Design candidate, you will grow your portfolio and create work that is actually used, not just a class assignment. In our fast-paced environment, lots of projects arise and you may find yourself working on tasks like: updating and creating landing pages, creating print ads, collateral content for social media and other marketing material. This is a great opportunity to learn while supporting our important mission.
Admin Assistant
The Assistant to the programming department is responsible for a range of tasks to support the non-profit’s goals and promote the corporate image by representing the programming team both internally and externally. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.
Responsibilities
Virtual Graphic Design
  • Develop cohesive design solutions for both print and web
  • Show a passion for creating innovative designs geared towards non-profit marketing
  • Develop Green Content
  • Create new looks that inspire excitement in partners and donors, at and for events
  • Work on a variety of projects and duties as assigned

Admin Assistant
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the office
  • Organizing and maintaining files and records
  • Planning and scheduling meetings and appointments
  • Managing projects and conducting research
  • Preparing and editing correspondence, reports, and presentations
  • Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks for the programming team including managing an extremely active calendar of appointments; completing expense reports; completing department reports, composing and preparing referrals, working with community partners.
  • Communicates directly, and on behalf of the programming team and others, on matters related to programmatic initiatives.
  • Prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues
  • Assists with community outreach, fills in as intake coordinator, prepares presentations, may present to partners, philanthropic or service groups.
  • Conducts trainings on behalf of the program team.
  • Assists program team with following up w/youth,.
  • Attending events/meetings as the Directors representative
Required Qualifications
Virtual Graphic Design Position
  • Majoring in Graphic Design
  • Intern must be 18+ years of age.
  • Completion of all required orientation and training.
  • Must maintain regular attendance
  • Submit hours once a month.
  • Complete evaluation surveys as requested by staff.
  • Successfully complete an interview for a position with staff member.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Minimum 8-10 hours per week for 3 – 6 months.

Admin Assistant
  • Completion of all required orientation and training.
  • Must maintain regular attendance
  • Submit hours once a month.
  • Complete evaluation surveys as requested by staff.
  • Successfully complete an interview for a position with staff member.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to research information and prepare collateral and other correspondence
  • Minimum 8 hours per week for 3 – 6 months. Hours can be scheduled in 3- to 8-hour blocks of time during regular business hours (Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.). Applicants able to schedule the maximum hours/duration listed for this internship typically gain a more in-depth experience.
