Job Overview

The Grants and Contracts Administrator – in a temporary role - supports the Georgetown University Medical Center by maintaining accurate data on all awards in the University’s information systems and communicating this information to all parties on a need-to-know basis.

Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation

Reporting to the Senior Associate Vice President for Business Affairs and Administration, the Grants and Contracts Administrator serves as a resource for all areas of the Medical Center. They act as an official liaison with external organizations regarding sponsored research agreements, assist with electronic grant submissions, and provide ad hoc reports to management and department administration as requested.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree in an applicable field
  • Experience using Microsoft Office with ability to do budget analysis
  • Ability to perform in a deadline driven, high pressure environment
  • Ability to interact successfully with a diverse customer base.
  • Excellent analytical skills and communication, as well as attention to detail.
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Organizational capabilities

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of database management programs
  • Experience managing a wide variety of awards
