Grant Administrator - Physics

Arts & Science is seeking an experienced Grant Administrator to join the Department of Physics. This individual will manage sponsored research grants, contracts, gifts, and faculty 'start-up' funds. Advise Principal Investigators on grant funds management and budget planning, interpret terms of grant contracts, monitor appropriate spending, analyze and revise budgets, and prepare grant reporting. Reviewing and approve final financial reports prepared by SPA for funding agencies.



Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience:
3+ years relevant experience with budget or grants management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent writing, analytical, problem-solving skills, communication and organizational skills. Demonstrated success in writing funded proposals and in identifying and researching funding opportunities. Working knowledge of accounting fundamentals. Knowledge of standard office software.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of laws, principles, rules and policies relating to federally funded grants and contracts to universities.



In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $67,500.00 to USD $75,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
