Job Summary:
This
position supports the Office of Research Administration by managing payroll
entry, tracking, processing, reporting and correcting errors for grant accounts. This position will cross train and serve as
back-up for accounts receivable in research administration. Other clerical duties
include managing inventory and purchases related to office supplies and staff
needs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate
degree in business, management, accounting or related field.
At least two
years’ experience in an office or other setting with a customer service focus
and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
- Skilled user of MS Office; Experience with financial software and managing budgets
- Strong project management and time management skills
- Highly detail oriented and with strong organizational skills
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Must be proactive, resourceful and self-motivated
- Proficient interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with tact and discretion
- Professional demeanor, integrity, tact and good judgement.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, accounting,
management, or related fields. USM
administrative experience, including SOARFIN and SOARHR
