Job Description
This is flexible remote grant funded position through the HSI-STEM grant. The primary job duties are to increase student engagement with Counseling Services through outreach events, marketing, psycho-education presentation, referrals, and social media campaigns. The successful candidate will also serve as a peer mentor/coach for undergraduate students requesting social support.
  • Identify student needs to help create, plan, and deliver innovative outreach programming for ASU students.
  • Market Counseling Services resources at weekly tabling events across campus.
  • Utilize public speaking skills to create and present psycho-educational trainings and presentations to requesting classes, student organizations, or campus-wide.
  • Promote Counseling Services and provide referrals for students struggling with mental health concerns.
  • Manage Counseling Services social media platforms, through content creation, highlighting mental health awareness days, and Counseling Services events.
  • Provide peer mentorship and coaching to undergraduate students who express the need for social support.
  • Shoot, edit, caption, and upload videos that can be sent out to the campus community for psycho-educational purposes.

    Required Qualifications
    • Currently enrolled graduate student in good academic standing.
    • Bachelor’s Degree
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Graduate students in psychology, social work, education, or similar field of study.
    • Past organizational social media management experience preferred.
    • Strong technical and content creation skills.
    • Demonstrated multi-tasking skills and self-motivation to work successful in a remote environment.
    • Ability to take initiative, innovate new ideas, and partner with other departments.
    Physical Demands
    Salary $15/Hour
