GRADUATE RESEARCH STUDENT ASSISTANT [PART-TIME, 50% FTE; 2 OPENINGS]

General Duties/Description:
The Population Health Initiative has an outstanding opportunity for two graduate research assistants to join our team for summer quarter 2022 to support an ongoing mixed methods research project that aims to identify public health interventions to improve racial equity in immunization rates in the U.S. The graduate research assistant will primarily be involved with assisting the team in accessing the project analysis and outcomes to develop project outputs such as toolkits, equity checklists and policy briefs. Key tasks and responsibilities for this position include:

• Work collaboratively to create written content, tables, figures, and charts for presentations and publications
• Create toolkits, policy briefs, checklists, and other materials to support dissemination of research findings 

DATES OF EMPLOYMENT:
June 16, 2022 to September 15, 2022

HOURS:
19.50/week

REQUIREMENTS:

•     Must be formally enrolled in the UW Graduate School for at least 10 credits during Summer quarter 2022 and be in good standing or this can be an hourly paid positions for non-registered graduate RAs to perform research work during the summer quarter. GRSA positions are intended for RAs who do not need to enroll in summer classes and who already have GAIP coverage in the summer through an appointment in the previous academic year.
•     Must be enrolled in a graduate degree program and meet enrollment requirements
•     Exceptional writing skills.
•     Ability to translate scientific findings into communication materials intended for lay audiences
•     Detail and deadline oriented.
•     Ability to work remotely and independently.

DESIRED:

•     Experience with Atlas.ti or other qualitative analysis tools.

SALARY:

Compensation and benefits are based on the 2021-22 ASE salary schedules for a Schedule 1 pre-master research assistant.
