The Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) invites applications for a Graduate Research Associate (GRA). GRAs often work on more than one project at a time. This position is focused on maintenance and analysis of population health survey data, contributing to reports and presentation materials, and maintaining advanced interactive data visualizations in R-Shiny within a team development context. A GRA is expected to perform mainly technical skill tasks. They are expected to complete or assist on tasks with appropriate assistance and oversight.

Minimum Education Required:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required.

Required Qualifications:

Experience with quantitative analysis and demonstrated use of R for data analysis and statistical programming are required.  Requires successful completion of a background check.  Selected candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.

The mission of the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center is to identify, research, and spread innovative practices to improve access to quality healthcare for Ohioans through partnerships with healthcare, state, and academic leaders. The GRC’s current work encompasses critical issues and challenges in public health and health services, including maternal and infant mortality, the ongoing opioid crisis, Ohio’s ACA Medicaid expansion, management of chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, health equity, and health system payment innovation.
