Position Summary Information


Job Description Summary:
The graduate student research assistant will be assisting with the maintenance and development of the Institute’s two signature publications: the on-line publication, The Augustine Blog, and the print journal, Augustinian Studies. Responsibilities include keeping track of submissions, offering a preliminary reading of and report on submissions, researching references (fact-checking), and working with Augustinian Institute faculty to expand our pool of contributors while maintaining quality.
Requirements:
Advance degree (doctoral) work in either Philosophy, Theology, or Religious Studies, some familiarity with social media and tech support, and at least a broad interest in the study of Augustine and Augustinian thought
Additional Information:
Previous work and academic experience highly desirable. Work is generally complex and requires the ability to exercise judgement and make decisions.
Physical Demands Summary:
Wage Rate: $18/HR
