The Anne & Henry Zarrow School of Social Work on the Norman Campus is looking for Graduate Research Assistants for Spring 2024. Start date is variable based on the project. This is a part-time position with no benefits. Will work either be 10 or 20 hours per week. Positions are available for both the full spring semester and shorter-term assignments. Selected applicant will be expected to work on campus.
**This position is in Norman, OK. You must live in or commute to Norman.**
Job Duties:
- Research, SPSS database creation, maintenance, and data analysis supporting Social Work Faculty.
- Comprehensive literature reviews and searches, critical evaluation, summaries, and data collection.
- Research potential programs, funding, conferences, and interventions relevant to populations studied and future research applications.
- Assist with publications, presentations, charts, graphs, and manuscripts.
- Maintain project resources and data.
- Maintain confidential participant information and study integrity.
- Hypothesis driven research with team encompassing faculty, staff, and students.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree. Must be current OU Graduate Student and enrolled in the Spring 2024 semester.
- Must attach Spring 2024 class schedule.
Skills:

Above average computer proficiency in Microsoft Windows, including emails, distribution lists, manage files in MS Office, conduct internet searches for faculty on research Projects, periodical reviews, etc.

Experience with research and research-related software desired.

Must be flexible in terms of working on differing tasks for various faculty needs.

Student must be in good academic standing within the academic program.

Represent the program and the ethics of the SSW with a courteous and helpful orientation toward potential students, other students, the staff, and faculty.

Work out a schedule that is flexible in accordance with your student responsibilities, yet one that the other members of the team can depend upon for work planning purposes.

Ability to take initiative to ask for assignments while knowing when to seek guidance for further instructions in a timely manner to meet deadlines.

Be willing to fill in for other staff when asked to help with the overall operation of the program and the Graduate College.

Work independently on projects without requiring constant supervision once the instructions are clear.

Ability to take a professional perspective toward corrective criticism as an opportunity for additional skill development.

A commitment to social justice and solid grounding in social work values and ethic.

- Standard administrative office environment and exposure, including keyboarding. Up to 20% of this position will require mobility (moving from one room or building to another, etc.)
