Job Description
This position will provide support for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program in the Pamplin College of Business in Northern Virginia, reporting to the program director. The incumbent will primarily support the Evening MBA program but will also be integrated with the operations of our other MBA program options. The candidate selected for this position will maintain a full-time, on-site presence and will be a primary interface for those coming to the MBA Programs office.
Required Qualifications
Experience in a higher education environment; previous program support experience in an academic or professional office environment; experience interacting with adult learners and maintaining student records; highly organized; proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and Word; must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well in a team and with the public; ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work collaboratively with others; interact professionally with graduate students and Pamplin Extended Campus Programs staff and faculty.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; proficiency with Slate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or similar program; experience in handling student records in student database such as Banner; previous experience working with retrieving information and consolidating for reports; web related information entry and retrieval; knowledge of university academic policies and processes, fiscal and operational policies and procedures; experience working in an entrepreneurial environment with an “all hands on deck” culture.

Additional Information
This position will be required in office Monday through Thursday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. to serve our in-person MBA students currently attending courses at the Northern Virginia Center in Falls Church through Fall of 2024. The position will fully transition to the Innovation Campus in Alexandria Spring of 2025. A hybrid schedule around the 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. in-office requirement can be established after a 6 month probationary period.
The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
