Description

The Graduate Medical Education Equity and Diversity Inclusion Program Coordinator is responsible for program planning, development, and coordination of the EDI initiatives in the Graduate Medical Education space including resident recruitment for strategic GME pathway events at national and regional conferences. You will manage event planning, including budgeting, management of GME EDI sponsored social activities and conferences, drafting communications, and managing EDI portions of the GME website, social media, and promotional materials across digital platforms. You will work directly with interns, residents, fellows, faculty, staff and leadership to help advance strategic initiatives for all graduate medical trainees. Provide support to the Assistant Designated Institutional Official (ADIO) for EDI on specific initiatives from the management of communication and event planning, GME EDI meeting support, and GME EDI sponsored pathway programs support. Assist the ADIO with the GME EDI annual recruitment data reports, academic action reports, holistic review surveys, and reviewing trainee climate data. You will be responsible for the communication of courses, curriculum, workshops, and other educational/co-curricular activities that comprise the GME offices’ efforts related to equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging. This role manages the GME JEDI Budget, ensuring expenses stay within budget, and includes responsibility for financial processing, and recordkeeping, as well as arranging organizational registration and travel and reimbursements for JEDI-sponsored recruitment fairs. This role manages data as it pertains to trainee recruitment, academic action, climate, and the evaluation data for various GME EDI initiatives and conferences. Collaborate with DGSOM Instructional Technology, Communications, Digital Strategy and Marketing for social media and event communications and displays and communicate with a variety of stakeholders regarding these announcements, events, and logistical requirements. This role also oversees the calendar of events for GME EDI events and events focused on GME EDI collaborations with the school, hospital system and departments. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with occasional evening and weekend work, travel, and executing on-site events. This position will serve as a liaison between the Health System EDI (HEDI), DGSOM JEDI, and GME Offices. Hourly Salary Range: $24.28 – $48.04

Qualifications

Required: * Use of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Qualtrics, Canva, Adobe, Aquia (website platform), BOX, and others as needed. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a wide range of stakeholders * Actively maintain current awareness of issues impacting trainees Preferred: * Understanding of the medical education continuum and the unique properties of Graduate Medical Education * Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree in a related field
