Description:

The Department of Medical Education is seeking a enthusiastic part time non benefit eligible graduate hourly research and teaching assistant. As a Graduate Hourly, you'll have the unique opportunity assisting the Master of Health Professions Education Program with research, data analysis and teaching preparation. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in educational research -related tasks.
  • Ability to conduct literature searches and write annotated bibliographies.
  • Review, analyze, and synthesize existing literature and data.
  • Assist in research participant enrollment, handling of data, and preparation of data for inclusion in presentations and/or manuscripts.
  • Help the faculty with administrative tasks related to teaching including preparation of materials for on-campus and online courses.
  • Help the faculty organize meetings, write agendas, edit presentations and written work.
  • Plan and implement initiatives.
  • Communicate with faculty’s collaborators and related networks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications:

    Graduate Level attending University of Illinois
    To excel in this role, you should possess:
    A strong academic record and a passion for teaching and educational research.
    Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
    Familiarity with research methods, databases, and library and academic resources.
    Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
    Organizational skills and attention to detail.
    Prompt work turnaround and resourcefulness.
    The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    Students pursuing a degree in education or who have an interest in health professions education are preferred.
