The Georgia College & State University Skills/Simulation Graduate Assistant for the School of Nursing will work with nursing faculty and the skills lab coordinator with teaching in undergraduate courses in the Nursing Skills Lab (on main campus) and/or Simulation Center at Navicent Health Atrium Baldwin.

Teaching - 20
Assist faculty and skills lab coordinator in teaching in undergraduate courses in the campus lab and Simulation Center.

Student Supervision - 20
Responsible for supervising student workers in the campus lab setting for after-hour lab.

Grading - 20
Assist with grading students' assignments.

Training - 20
Train undergraduate students on various clinical skill competencies according to best practice.

Act as a Standardized Participant (SP) - 20
Act as a SP or embedded participant during simulation scenarios.

Educational Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Other Required Qualifications
Educational and clinical experience in adult health. Current unencumbered license as a registered nurse in Georgia required at time of hire.
Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours in a graduate nursing program for every semester that they will receive a tuition waiver/stipend, Part-time and post-master's students may need to check their programs of study to see if they would be eligible.
Required Experience
Experience working in the clinical setting.

Preferred Experience
Nursing education, simulation.

ABILITIES
Requires periods of standing, walking, and lifting.
KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of nursing science and practice.
- Knowledge of adult education concepts. 
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals and groups.
- Ability to travel to various locations for class and clinical experiences.
SKILLS
Basic foundational skills in specific clinical areas depending on education and experience.
Capable of preforming and training nursing skills according to best practice standards.
